I think Jason Alexander was very good as George Costanza on "Seinfeld" but I wouldn't rank him as "the greatest Second Banana". My vote for that honor would go to Art Carney for his work as Ed Norton on "The Honeymooners"!

He may have been chosen the "greatest" second banana, but he's far from the most likeable. Frankly, I'm surprised Ed McMahon wasn't chosen. (I do like George and enjoyed most of "Seinfeld", I just think most of these polls are so slated toward recent offerings.)

I'm ok with George Costanza winning everything ever. He's certainly my favorite character in television history.
