Lady Gaga Set to Star in "American Horror Story"

Lady Gaga surprises us once again. The singer is the first confirmed cast member of "American Horror Story's" fifth season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gaga will be a series regular on the upcoming season, which was facing a serious diva deficit following the departure of Jessica Lange.



Details about Season 5 haven't been released yet, but according to a tweet from Gaga it looks as though it will be called "American Horror Story: Hotel".

"Make your reservation now. #GagaAHSHotel"



This isn't Lady Gaga's first acting role.

She had a small role on "The Sopranos" when she was younger and appeared in feature films Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

With Gaga struggling as a pop star, the FX series gives her a chance to re-launch her back into the pop-culture spotlight.
