I'm not usually one to read the National Enquirer but after seeing it featured this article I had to pick it up. It's from the current edition.

50 SHADES OF CELEBRITY SEX!
Feb. 20, 2015

It’s the hottest movie on the big screen right now, but Fifty Shades of Grey can’t hold a candle of dripping hot wax to the wild and sleazy antics of celebrities that took place in New York City’s most notorious S&M club of the ’80s and ’90s!

The Vault was a dark and dungeon-like destination in New York’s formerly seedy Meatpacking District between 1984 and 1997 – long before Fifty Shades took S&M to suburbia.

Shockingly, some of the era’s biggest stars were among its kinkiest customers!

The underground club served up a sleazy souffle of “gays, goths, slave auctions, tickle torturers and diaper-donning fetishists on leashes and dog collars!”

Here, former manager Anthony Marini lifts the lid on the long-closed Vault for The ENQUIRER, and exposes some of the wildest episodes with today’s hottest names!

Madonna

The pop star helped make The Vault famous.

“When she first came in in ’92, The Vault was not celebrity-oriented. She was an observer, and her viewing preference seemed to be homosexual acts ... She preferred young guys, particularly Latin men,” Anthony said.

Madonna would later use Vault security guard Lucifer in photos for her book, SEX.

Sharon Stone

The Basic Instinct sex bomb arrived at the club with two other women.

“That night there was a lesbian scene in the dimly lit back portion of the club where we had a jail cell. She was watching the girls torture each other and getting it on. I remember her spending most of the night back there.”

Harrison Ford

The night Harrison visited, “he had two blondes on his arm. Hot-looking stripper types like you see at go-go bars. The manager called and said, ‘Get Harrison out of The Vault. There are a couple of photographers around and he’ll get nabbed.’ Harrison put on a black raincoat, a black hat, exited the back door and hailed a cab. Two days later, he sent a gift basket to the club with a card that said, ‘Thanks for saving my ass.’”

Heather Locklear

Tommy Lee’s ex-wife was “one of the coolest celebrities we ever hosted.”

While Heather was sitting at the bar, a regular wrapped in chains spent time with another foot-worshipper groveling on the floor beneath her. “She was perfectly calm about this display of affection.”

Robert Downey, Jr. and Corey Feldman

These two bad boys “wound up hooking up with a pair of transvestites. And these were bad transvestites – guys that looked like Chinese food delivery men wearing wigs.”

The stars left with the “ladies” too!

David Copperfield and Claudia Schiffer

The couple arrived with their realtor after viewing apartments.

Before long, they wound up in the back room where there was a jail cell and “had an intense, heavy session,” and “David had his hands all over her.”

Naomi Campbell

The catwalk queen “was always with other girls when she entered the club. She was the type that would tell you to f--- off if you got too close to her, and she didn’t want you near.”

Mickey Rourke

The Barfly actor showed up at the club looking “like he’d been partying for eight months straight.”

The staff went looking for Mickey after he disappeared: “We finally found him in the bathroom with a transvestite.”

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee

The wild ’90s couple arrived “with a Pamela lookalike. Tommy bound both women back-to-back on the torture chair. Right in front of everybody, he commenced smacking them and touching their breasts.”

Roseanne Barr

Anthony said the sitcom star was responsible for The Vault banning celebs. “She was loud and obnoxious. Roseanne was mocking everybody and making off-color remarks. We eventually bounced her out.”

Regulars threatened a boycott, and The Vault soon closed forever.
