It went under the radar until now, but Leonard Nimoy was rushed to the hospital late last week with severe chest pains. TMZ reports (http://www.tmz.com/2015/02/23/leonard-nimoy-hospitalized-chest-pains-rushed-hospital/) that according to law enforcement sources, the iconic Star Trek star was transported to UCLA Medical Center on Thursday after a 911 call reported that he was suffering from chest pains.
Nimoy, who has been in and out of the hospital over the last few months, was seen by a doctor ASAP. His rep hasn’t responded to requests for comment yet.
Nimoy suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which he blames on the fact that he used to smoke back in the day.
