Has anybody else been getting SPAM email in their Private Message Inbox here on SOL? I recently got one that contained a link to some website that I assume was a piracy site. I did not click on it, I just deleted the email.

Yep- Just got it from someone named "Feldman" who has no posts, and no profile so deleted and put on ignore list.

I received the same message and noted the sender had been banned already! Fast action!

I got that private message that says "How many times should I remind you that all films are now on this site", but it was from a baubacfunc. I clicked on it and a page came in saying it was an attack and was blocked.

I figured that was the case myself, and deleted the message. If it's :spam31: it's SCAM! :angryfire

At the Shopping Mall where I work there are two "Sweepstakes" going on, one offers a Custom Chopper, the other a 1923 Model T BOTH require your Address, youe phone number, and your e-mail address, along with your signature. Down below that is a notice that reads by entering this contest you give permission to be taken off the do not call list and also off the don't send junk mail list. and give permission for them to contact you with telemarketers, be sent "Junk Mail" and be sent e-mail (:spam31:) messages from them. Whenever I see people writing on their slips I show them the fine print, and they discard the slips instead of dropping them in the box.

I disabled PMs on my profile; hopefully I won't get these scam/spam things anymore.

Well if ya disabled them,they are out of luck :)

There were at least 4 different accounts which were sending out spam. We blocked the urls and deleted their sent private messages. Then I received about 15 e-mails from people asking me where their private message went. :)

Thanks to everybody who reported them.

I also do that. If I see a PM that I dont recognize, forget it, your deleted.
