Family Guy has referenced Nintendo games such as Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Donkey Kong, and Super Mario. Why can't Family Guy do a Sonic the Hedgehog reference for a change?


If Family Guy did reference Sonic, it could be like a cutaway gag. Like Peter telling Lois she ruined his weekend with the guys and she's a stick in the mud like Dr. Robotnik. And the cutaway can show Dr. Robotnik telling his henchmen (the ones from the Sonic games)that they can't have fun on Saturday because they have to help him get Sonic or something like that.



Family Guy not only can do a reference to the games, but the cartoons as well. Like maybe have Peter replace Chris, Meg, and Stewie with Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts from AoSTH. Peter would LOVE them!


Really really wish Family Guy would do a cutaway gag of Sonic SAT am! It can start out with Lois telling Peter his friends are usig him. Then Peter can contradict Lois and say, "You should've seen my friends that time we were joyriding on the planet Mobius"! A cutaway gag can be in Robotropolis and have Robotnik and Snively holding captive Sally, Rotor, Bunnie, Antoine, and Tails. And Sonic comes in to save them all, and Robotnik and Snively get blown out of a window. Then Sonic is about to rescue his friends and out of nowhere a car comes and runs over Sonic's friends and out comes Peter Griffin and his friends. Peter can be overly remorseful about it, then Brian, Joe, Clevland and Quagmire can reassure him by covering up the accident by having Joe make it look like Sonic did it.



What is everyone's take on this? Anyone else agree Family Guy should reference Sonic? Not to complement the blue blur. But to mock Sonic of course! What with all the countless Star Wars, Indiana Jones, BTTF, The Goonies, and Griswolds references Family Guy does, hazing Sonic would be a nice change of pace!
