was attracted to?

I mean I am looking at this episode now with her running around the apartment like a fool because the tall handsome guy wanted to make out? Who said it had to lead to sex? Damm why was it so hard for her to kiss a guy? She is acting like a 13 year old in this episode and hard to believe she is in her mid 20's

Because he was clearly giving off a rapey vibe.

Are you talking about the episode where Janet gets reacquainted with the guy she had a crush on in high school? If so, that guy was a total creep, a dimwit and he had absolutely no respect for Janet. He was also very, very pushy. He didn't care about Janet's feelings. He only cared about himself. I don't blame Janet for being turned off and I'm glad she ran away from him. If you ask me, HE was the one acting like a damn junior high kid. That guy was the pits.

A rapey vibe? He wanted to make out like any other normal man

They were sitting on the couch looking into each other eyes so why couldn't she kiss him?

^^^ Because at that point, she was turned off and she was no longer attracted to him.

HE was the one with the problem, not Janet.

Why because he put his arm around her and wanted to be romantic? lol

What is wrong with 2 adults kissing when they are spending a evening alone?

^^^ That man was being very pushy and he was forcing himself on her. He didn't even care that Janet was obviously uncomfortable.

He was forcing himself on her..... do you not get that? Why should Janet submit to a man that she was no longer attracted to?

he was just putting his arm around her so why is that a issue? He didn't take his shirt off or pull his penis out so where is this force you are talking about?

Wawwie

^^^ He doesn't have to be "pulling out his penis" to be forcing himself on her. If you really can't understand how he was forcing himself on Janet, then there is A LOT that you don't understand about women.
NO means NO..... too bad you can't recognize that.
Maybe you think women should always submit to any man under any circumstance as long as he's not "pulling his penis out."

Well I guess she was a virgin because women who have had sex don't act like that

Virgin or not.... she behaved with total class.
Like I said, there is a lot you don't understand about women.
Do you really think that a non virgin is going to submit to a guy that she's turned off by? Wow! You are so delusional!

But I guess since she was attracted to him what was wrong with him sitting close to her? So if I invite a girl over and we are sitting on the couch we are not supposed to be close at all?

That's right! TvFact if you go out and you start kissing a girl and you start makeing out she says no you stop right there! if you continue then you are the aressor and the jerk of the date. That date Janet had with her high school friend was almost a date rape.

But that's not what he did, he just moved over to her and put his arm around her to get a little romantic. That's she got scared and started running around the apt like a fool lol

TVFactFan, you're either being willfully obtuse or are just clueless. Either way I feel bad for the women you date....you obviously have trouble understanding the concept of "body language" and "signals" and possibly the word "no."

When I first saw this episode, I was doing something else while watching it so I was only half listening.

As I was watching it at first it did seem odd to me that Janet could all of a sudden switch from going crazy over this guy to all of a sudden not being interested in him anymore.

So I re-watched it.

It seems Janet lost interest in the guy when he started bragging about what hot stuff he is.

If there's anything I've learned in recent years, it's that women despise arrogance in a man.

Bragging about yourself won't get you anywhere with women.

Women like humility.

^^ Uh, women like respect.

It wasn't just his arrogance or lack of humility. He was making physical advances she wasn't receptive to. She put four couch pillows between them, which he pointedly removed one by one so he could sidle up to her, which she clearly did not want. That was before he threw pillows on the ground and forcibly put her down on them after she told him that was not okay.

His ACTIONS proved that he was a total sleaze who wanted one thing and was determined to get it no matter what. He was practically panting after her the minute he walked in and ended up having to be knocked unconscious to stop pursuing her.

I do not understand how men can watch this episode and not get that.

Bragging makes you a douche, making unwanted physical advances turns into assault/date rape. Please know the difference.

I never said I didn't understand that. What I was trying to say was her opinion of him changed once he started talking about what a great guy he was.

If you mean real hot and heavy like in modern sitcoms today? Nope, not that I can remember, everything was pretty tame back then.

I remember chrissy and Terri kissing someone but not Cindy and Janet

I remember Janet kissing Phillip in the finale but was that it?
