I found out that my order has shipped and it should be here tomorrow. I wasn't sent a confirmation email which was strange. I had to go see the order details at myexpresscheckout.com which is the system they use for their orders.

I don't know how often you pre-order from Shout, but I've noticed that the shipping e-mails usually don't arrive until you have the box set in your hands.

I got the email yesterday. Hoping it arrives tomorrow so I can watch the musical episodes on the weekend and check to see if everything's complete.

I'm surprised that Shout! hasn't released a statement about the music like they did with "The Facts of Life" set.

I am hoping this means there are no issues at all.

When I purchased my copy of the fourth-season (1982-83) Hart to Hart release, I got the confirmation first, and then my purchase arrived two days later, right on the street date.

I got my email confirmation of delivery last night. I can't wait for it to arrive. If it comes on Friday I might have a Maude weekend marathon.

My e-mail was sent this morning, the set arrived about an hour ago. So, for a change, the e-mail beat the set.

And though it's going to be a while before I watch the show entirely, I did watch the episode Musical '78 for a quick music check (runs 25:03, plenty of songs, so I think it's okay).

Mine came about an hour or two ago. I haven't started watching yet but I am sure I will be in for amazement once I do.

This will probably be the last set that I pre-order from Shout for awhile. The next few things they plan on releasing I can wait for.

As much as I love The Nanny it has been on overkill with TV Land and Antenna TV. I have seen each episode over 50 times and can almost recite every line. A few unedited scenes are not enough for me to spend money on the show just yet.

Maude, The Facts of Life and The Jeffersons were worth preordering just because they are all very rare and aren't on complete overkill (constant marathons) with other networks.

I'll bring the big top beer (from "Mama's Family") so we can have a viewing party to remember!

You're welcome!!

The color scheme is the same as The Jeffersons and The Facts of Life were. Color discs match outer color cover. There is a bonus disc and a very nice booklet with pictures and episode guide.

Picture quality for the series is pretty good considering how old this show is. I decided to watch the first episode of each season first starting with season 2. I noticed that the opening graphics aren't changed until season 4 where we get new pics of Maude.

I do have a question if someone remembers….Does Maude hire a new maid once Florida leaves? There is a new character on Season 4 that I don't recall.

It is also nice to see Rue on this show as well.

I'm so jealous of you guys that already own this! I'm hoping I'll be able to get it in a few weeks when I get my tax refund. I hate having to do unexpected home repairs.

Thanks…yes thats her name..the maid..on the episode I watched she was drinking and Maude says I guess Mr.s Naugstuck is at that milk again…LOL…

I have to say the episode with Arthur's problem pt 1 is so good…its funny and then yet at the end when Arthur slaps Maude…is just a silent wow moment and totally changes the episode.

I love this set just as much as I do the Jeffersons and The Facts of Life…you will love it as well when you get it.

Why do you need a pic of the bottom on the set. There is really nothing interesting about it. It is just a bunch of logos for the companies involved in making the set.

I have been watching the bonus disc for the past 2 hours. I love the cast interviews and the 2 unaired episodes.

In my opinion they should have kept the original episodes and not have reshot them later on. Both episodes were far more hilarious the first time around with the original casting.

To be clear the interviews were taken a lot earlier because they feature Bea Arthur and Rue McClanahan who have been dead for more than 5 years or so.

None of these interviews looked like they were filmed for Shout Factory specifically.

The interviews are likely repeated from that abysmal 2009 Norman Lear box set that nobody bought because we all already owned those episodes and just wanted the lost pilots and bonus features. Personally I am glad they are repeated here so I can finally see/own them.

I am happy they did this as well. I never bought the complete series of All in the Family since I already had all the individual seasons on dvd.

I noticed a boo boo on a Season 6 episode opening where Adrienne Barbeau name doesn't appear in the opening credits but is on the episode.

Got the set last week and am loving it, but is anyone else experiencing problems with disc one? Specifically, the disc isn't playing the first two chapters of "Maude and the Radical." Skips right over the intro and the first scene. I tried in two different devices and had the same issue on both, so wanted to ask around here. (I will probably message Shout about it on Facebook.)

I am checking out that episode right now. So far I see no problem with that episode on my disc. Any other episodes messing up on that disc?

I am always careful with my DVDs so that could be a factor. I only touch the areas that fingerprints aren't supposed to be. Are there any scratches or fingerprints on the disc? If not you may have just gotten a bad disc.

astro4004

All other episodes on the disc are fine. I have indeed inspected it for scratches, etc. but don't see anything. This is the first it's been out of the box, and I am totally OCD about keeping my DVDs clean, so it seems like I just got a bum disc. Thanks for checking for me!

Update: Upon further inspection, I did notice a bubble-type flaw in the disc. Shout are taking care of it, which is just another reason why I think they're the best in the tv-on-dvd gang out there. :D
