February 2, 2015
The CW has ordered a reboot pilot of the 1980s syndicated horror/fantasy/thriller anthology "Tales from the Darkside".
The project comes from writer/executive producer Joe Hill (who wrote the novel Horns, which became a movie starring Daniel Radcliffe), while additional EPs include Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Heather Kadin (who’ve teamed up on "Sleepy Hollow" and "Scorpion").
Joe Hill is the son of famous horror author Stephen King.
The original, which ran from 1983-88, was created by horror-meister George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead).
