HBO super-couple Amanda Peet and David Benioff are going to be on the road promoting their respective shows the next couple of months, she for Togetherness and he for Game of Thrones. But it’s safe to say that Benioff won’t be able to anecdotally top the terrible advice he received from Peet, who had some not-so-nice words about George R.R. Martin’s book series when he first told her about the idea. On Conan, Peet revealed that she thought it was a “terrible idea…just silly, it’s like Dungeons & Dragons, but with real people.” MORE LIKE JOFFREY PEET.
The crowd immediately turned on her, but she eventually won them back, because she’s Amanda Peet and it’s impossible to not like Amanda Peet. I’ve seen Body Shots. I know this to be true.
