Does anyone know if this medical mystery was ever solved? I don't remember their name but I do recall they had about 5 deaths in the family

The mystery was partially resolved. Doctors think they know what syndrome it might be and as far as we know, there have been no more heart-related deaths in the family. This is one of the saddest segments on UM. I wish the family the best and hope they're doing well these days.

That's a great update! Glad to know their lives were pretty much saved
