Check out this bio tv series that Tracks down celebrities. It has some very good info on the relationships between mindy cohn, charlotte rae, and cloris leachman. there is also an interview with mindy's parents.

this is one of the best FOL bio docs out there. Definitely my fav

what do you think?

Whoa, thank you for posting this. This is so interesting and unique; but he sure went some "places" in some of his interviewing, lol.

This looked somewhat scripted and kind of dumb. A real interviewer would not keep pushing questions and make someone mad. Except maybe for Diane Sawyer

this is about Mindy Cohn not the Pope. The guy is a comedian, talking to comedians. And of course some of it's scripted - its television...

bottom line, this guy revealed lots of new info and perspectives. i was happy to get it..

Just because I have a different opinion doesn't mean you can be condescending about my personal view on the video

i'm sure Diane Sawyer would disagree

I'm sure she would, but you're not Diane Sawyer, and I didn't deserve to be spoken to like that.

I'm going to end this conversation now.

I wish they had skipped the part about the masturbation book. That's not how I want to remember Mindy and Charlotte. Like Mindy's dad, I think that part was in poor taste.

It was cool to meet Mindy's parents. Mindy's mom doesn't look much like Mindy, and that surprised me.

Mindy definitely got more of her looks from her dad.

Was it scripted? The way they filmed Charlotte, it seemed like they dubbed her voice. Mindy always speaks so highly of Charlotte and cries almost at the mention of her, so I had a hard time thinking this was truth and not satire. But hey maybe it did happen.

I feel like Charlotte was interview by the academy of tv and they tried to ask her revealing questions and she would budge. Otherwise I was not a fan of this piece.

The part with Mindy looks scripted, the part with Charlotte does not. When they appeared on the TV Land awards, there was chatter that Mindy sounded distant. If they overdubbed what Charlotte said, then she had a great case for a lawsuit. Charlotte's memory began to fade in her later life as did her ability to think before she spoke. I believe what Charlotte said 100%. I also think Mindy mentioned something about it somewhere.

I wonder how old Mindy was when Charlotte gave her that book?

Mindy is not shy about publicly stating that she is the master of her domain.

Natalie's TV mom looks more like Natalie/Mindy's mom than Mindy's real mom.

In going through the past years and decades posts, you can find some real nuggets like this one and the post about the lines that they cut out of The Facts of Love after it's original broadcast. Other than that, most of what you encounter are Jo lovefest threads and Blair and Jo fans getting into heated arguments of who is better.
