I'm curious to know if they're going to be broadcasting Barker episodes of TPIR or just re-runs of Carey TPIR episodes...?

I understand there's a lot of red tape involved with getting clearance for the Barker-era episodes, including but not limited to:

*He (Barker) won't clear his appearance in any episodes in which Fur is given away as a prize, as he has since become a huge animal rights activist.

*He (Barker) won't clear his appearance in any episodes that former TPIR model Holly Hallstrom appear in, as he doesn't want her to get any royalty checks (due to the falling out they had with the lawsuits). I'm not sure if this ban includes to Janice, Dian, or Kathleen as well (but if so, all episodes pre-2000 are a no-go).

Unless I'm misreading something, the press release doesn't actually say they're going to carry The Price Is Right, just that Freemantle owns it.

Classic game show fans may have a slight panic attack this morning. Fox-owned television stations have picked up the digital multi-cast network Buzzr TV from Fremantle Media and Debmar-Mercury. The network launches this summer and will air on the 17 fox owned-and-operated stations with more to come. Think of it like MeTV or Antenna TV.

What does this mean to you? If you’re one of the stations you are looking at blocks of classic game shows from a library with over 40,000 hours. Titles include Family Feud featuring all hosts from Richard Dawson to present, The Price is Right, Let’s Make A Deal with Monty Hall, To Tell The Truth, Password, Match Game, Beat the Clock, What’s My Line?, Blockbusters, and Card Sharks...

I wish they could get Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune but those are Sony owned. Maybe they can one day.

Think Tribune, the current owner...8.3 is probably destined to be the new home of now-Tribune-run This TV, moving from WBNX/55.3 in March. 55.3 is already booked for Movies! (which oddly enough, I believe is owned by Fox).

Buzzr? Who knows if there's space for it in Cleveland. 55.4? (Remember, 55.2 is not going away, probably not even after Ernest Angley passes on.)

Yeah, Cozi TV is atop my most-wanted list, but I can't see where it lands here. Was hoping for 3.2 (NBC owns it) but the Gannett ownership brought us The TruTV Rerun Channel...er...Justice.
