This thread is inspired by Antenna TV's new acquisition Mr. Belvedere, which managed to last six seasons despite never making the top 30 yearly ratings. No cable for this thread and no WB/UPN/CW (unless it started on major broadcast) since none of those netlet shows ever made the top 30 anyway. Just the big 4 broadcast networks: ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX.

they keep many low rated shows in production just long enough to get them into syndication

the brady bunch wasn't really a hit until it went into syndication, the audience that watches (or used to watch) when stations air syndicated shows is different than the prime time audience
