Hey fellow "Girls" fans---I just found these boards, and I am oh-so-glad I did! :)
Man, "The Golden Girls"---there just aren't too many shows that are better than this. Such classic writing, acting, expression...it's all good!
My favorite is easily Rose. I can sometimes be pretty naive like her or take a minute to get somethin', and I'm usually the "nice guy" type. And it's very hard for me to get aggressive or sometimes stand up for myself or somethin' I believe in. Sometimes, but not always. Though I have a favorite, I do like all the girls.They each have their own unique humor and great characterizations.
God, I couldn't tell you how many hours I've warmed my couch by sittin' there watchin' Lifetime blocks of GG and DW (though I have a feelin' most of y'all probably feel the same way). ;)
"The Golden Girls" was what I call the perfect "bath show". Saturday nights when I was younger (I'm 23 now), my 4 years-older-sister and me would take our baths, then get all comfy on in the living room, wet hair, towels and all, and enjoy the girls as we dried off (along with "Empty Nest" and "227", when Saturday nights were about TV). It felt good, and even better with such a great show as the "Girls". This might sound stupid, and it's kinda hard to explain, but the "plushness" of the show's settings, and soft colors and stuff just made it exude that more "fresh, clean" feeling---just like after a bath, so it was always cool to watch it then. Pardon me if I don't make any sense, you might have just had to have been there. :blush:
Anyway, that's a little info on me and the Girls. These boards are awesome, and I'm so glad I found 'em! :D
