I don't know how your Season 3 sets are, but on my Complete Series set it seems like the Season 3 episodes didn't have the best picture quality. The problem is just the tapes themselves I guess.

It's kind of a hindrance to me watching them. I don't watch them as often as I do Seasons 1-2 and 4-6.

Are your Season 3 DVDs of good picture quality?

I have the original season 3 release and they look OK to me, not a great transfer but better looking than VHS.

I have the original (individual) DVD sets, and I notice in most of the earlier episodes there seems to be a yellow line that is about a third of the way down the screen. It always seems to go across a character's face (I guess that's where they lined up in the frame). Does anyone else see this? Or is it just my ancient television?

I haven't noticed that. On my set Seasons 1 and 2 are in excellent quality as opposed to Season 3. It's like the picture is slightly out of focus for season 3 for me.
