Us confirmed that the two were dating last August, after Deschanel split from her boyfriend of two years, screenwriter Jamie Linden. Later that month, Deschanel and Pechenik made their red carpet debut together at the 2014 Emmys at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. It is said that Zooey's pregnancy is not expected to affect the production schedule of New Girl's current fourth season. There are 5 episodes left to shoot, and production will wrap in early March. If there is a season 5, it can possibly be delayed and/or have its episode order reduced.

I have been watching this show religiously from the begining and these last two seasons
have not only been unfunny, but uninteresting. The pace is slow, the plots are tiresome
and drawn out and (worst of all) Jess isn't as quirky and outrageous as she had been when
this show was one of my very favorites.

She needs to get married now.

According to TV Line, Deschanel won't be pregnant on her show -- unlike sister Emily, whose 2nd pregnancy has been written into “Bones.”

Pregnancies can have disadvantages, but this type disadvantage ruined this TV sitcom's planning schedule by changing from returning to the beginning of this season to returning by midseason. That change also ruined the entire FOX comedy block along the way and caused this show's ratings to tank down too quick also, IMO.

The rest of the cast proved to be capable last night of carrying the show while she’s on maternity leave.

Since Zoeey has a child, this show is no longer a FOX teen marketing show anymore as it becomes a real FOX adult marketing show for now. Not only that, I can predict that next season, the 6th, might be the final season for this show.
