Which Actress is Leaving "General Hospital"?

Someone is getting ready to bid farewell to Port Charles.

After 17 years playing Starr Manning and later Kiki Jerome, actress Kristen Alderson is leaving "General Hospital", Soap Opera Digest reports.

Alderson, who won an Emmy for the role, will wrap up her run "very soon," according to Soap Opera Digest, but no specific end date has been announced.





Alderson first appeared as Starr on "One Life to Live" in 1998, at the age of 6. She remained in the role until the show was canceled by ABC in 2012, and then crossed the character over to "General Hospital".

After a legal dispute between ABC and Prospect Park (who acquired the rights to OLTL), Alderson debuted a new character, Kiki Jerome.

Chad Duell, Alderson's co-star and real-life boyfriend, tweeted Saturday that the departure "was her decision."

She literally grew up on the set of a soap opera! I wish her the best of luck, as she is a terrific young actress. :)

Wow that's a shocker....I don't watch GH much.....but I did watch her on OLTL and really liked her on that...best of luck to her...

Aww her character was suppose to get back together with Morgan and raise her baby sister.

Ex-Y&R Actress Hayley Erin Cast as "General Hospital’s" Kiki (EXCLUSIVE)

"General Hospital" has found its new Kiki Jerome. Former "The Young and the Restless" actress Hayley Erin (ex-Abby) will assume the role vacated by Kristen Alderson.

Erin played the role of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) daughter from 2008-2010 on the CBS soap. She was replaced by Emme Rylan, who now plays Lulu Spencer Falconeri on "GH".

In story, mob princess Kiki Jerome is raising her baby sister Avery, while their mother — the ruthless Ava Jerome (Maura West) — is in prison for murder. Kiki is also reconnecting with ex-husband Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig), who also dated her mom.
