I'm sorry, and I am not trolling, but I really disliked her in just about everything she did, from Sue Ann Niven forward. To me, she was the weakest player of the four Golden Girls, (at least her character wasnt a shrewish wench, but still, wasn't "Shut up Rose!" In like every episode? Now she is some hip great grandmother, free to make tasteless sex jokes since she is a thousand years old she can get away with it. Ew. I think she erroneously thinks that if she keeps working and ignore her mortality, she can hold off the Grim Reaper. Others have tried.

She is an AMAZING actress- 3 big hit sitcoms and countless awards for her acting (6 Emmies, 3 American Comedy Awards, 3 Screen Actor Guild Awards, 2 Viewer For Quality TV Awards, a Grammy, People's Choice Award, Disneyland Award, Walk of Fame Award, and over 30 nominations-and I know I'm probably missing a few), superb game show celebrity known for her fast wit-that has made many an average folk lots of money. Her storybook marriage to Alan Luden-who she ALWAYS talks about in glowing terms. The countless time and money she devotes to animal charties. She may be almost 93, but she's anything but ancient. She's more vital than most folks I know. If I'm blessed to live to my 90's hope I'm just like her.

And if it's so rude to talk bad about senior citizens then why did you elect to talk about her so unkindly? Certainly we're not all going to think the same way, and it would be a boring world if we did; but you could have couched your opinion less harshly. I'm not a fan of hers either, but have to give her credit for reaching 93 years of age, still being active and looking as good as she does.

She was my favorite on "The Golden Girls" and "The Golden Palace". I thought she was great in her later projects including "SNL". I wish her nothing but great things.

Now, I think the ancient comment and Grim Reaper comment are pushing the line of disrespect for anyone that may be around Betty's age. If you don't like her, that's your right but there could be people that are still older on this board that view those jabs as thoughtless and rude. If I were 93, then I would not want someone making this comments about me and death. It is a wonderful blessing when someone lives a long life and that should be celebrated.

As a person that has seen every episode, I can tell you that "Shut-Up, Rose" is not used all the time. If a person doesn't like her work that is one thing but to go in on a person with insults about dodging death and being ancient is over the line.
