Okay, Family Ties is being shown again on the UP network at 4 PM and then again in the middle of the night at 2 AM. Why doesn't the network realize that many people who remember the show in a fond sense work during the day and those are bad hours? Something like prime time would be better in my opinion or hope that another oldies television network picks it up at an hour which people can watch.

4PM is the most watchable time it's had in awhile, this is the first time UP has aired it in an afternoon slot. It's certainly better than 2AM, which is the only slot FT has had at times, or completely off the schedule, which has also happened. If you have Comcast 5 different episodes of Family Ties are put on demand from UP each week that you can watch at your convenience.

Yes, 4 PM is the most watchable in awhile. Except that many of the intended audience for this program are still working at this hour, unless they have work schedules which would allow it. Overall, it's not a show which many stations play and it would be nice if someone would pick it up and show it at a decent hour for those who don't have DVRs or want to buy an episode on demand or buy the DVD box set. I just want it on at an hour which most of us who still enjoy watching it can see it.

It's on at 3pm Central Time.

It's a good time for people who may have not seen it before to catch it. Maybe kids that get home from school. A new generation could discover it.

If you don't have a DVR or the box set, do you have Comcast/Xfinity? If you do, they have On Demand. If you have that, at least you would get to see the show that way. Do you have a VCR? You could record the episodes that way?

The fact that it's airing in the afternoon is a good thing. Most people don't see it at night. Except for those like me who are up late. I realize for those who work 4PM Eastern Time isn't the most convenient time..
Prime time sounds good, but it would have to compete with so many shows esp. new episodes of shows that are current in production.

I understand what you are saying, however, how many younger viewers are going to understand it or relate to it when actual politicians names, etc. come up? This is not a generic comedy like "Leave it to Beaver" or "The Brady Bunch" both of which never mentioned any names of real people or went into any serious issues. Family Ties mentioned Reagain, etc. Very much like "All in the Family" during the 1970s.

I've noticed that Family Ties weekdays as of now is on 9AM, I believe.

I don't remember much for this but as of this week I noticed that FT along with Growing Pains not airing on weekdays, will only air on weekends.

This is why, personally, it wasn't huge news for me Antenna added the show. It had been running a lot lately on this network. But of course it's different if you don't have this channel.

Looks like Family Ties, along with Growing Pains, and Sister Sister are off the weekday lineup starting today when Gilmore Girls is added to the lineup.
But these shows can still be shown on weekends.
Family Ties is already on Antenna TV, so there's something

I looked in today. While they are still listed on the on screen guide , the 3 sitcoms were definitely gone.

They're not gone. They're just not in weekday lineup. They can still be shown on Saturdays

In fact, it looks like 2 hr. blocks of each show.
