Got Stephen Cox's old book, Hooterville Handbook, for Christmas.
Some interesting info in the book that I didn't know. For instance, Eddie Albert really did grow a lot of vegetables in his own home garden.
Eva Gabor, who I would have thought would be a bit of a diva, was quite a team player/trooper on the show.
Mary Grace Canfield, aka Ralph Monroe, said she didn't talk much with Ms. Gabor behind the scenes because even though Ms. Gabor wasn't a snob, she was not in the same class/league as Canfield.
Neither Eddie Albert nor Eva Gabor really liked the script of the 1990 reunion movie, Return to Green Acres.
Howard Hughes used to watch reruns of Green Acres when he was cloistered in his hotel suite near the end of his life.
