Dustin Diamond, everybody’s favorite former Saved by the Bell cast member to hate (http://uproxx.com/tv/2014/08/poor-dustin-diamond-doesnt-understand-why-everyone-hates-him/), was arrested in Ozaukee County Wisconsin earlier this morning. You’re all probably wondering the same thing: What did he do this time? Did he venture into public indecency since the sex tape wasn’t raunchy enough? Another boxing match? A Saved by the Bell reunion featuring Screech only?

None of the above. Instead, Diamond was caught with a concealed weapon (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php/814360-So-Screech-Out-Here-Stabbing-Folks). According to Fox 6 News (http://fox6now.com/2014/12/26/dustin-diamond-actor-who-played-screech-on-saved-by-the-bell-arrested-in-ozaukee-co/):

Diamond was taken into custody for possession of a switchblade, first degree recklessly endangering safety and carrying a concealed weapon.

Diamond is scheduled to appear in a Ozaukee County Court at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 26th.

Maybe it’s because I’m an *sshole, from Texas, or both, but a switchblade? Really? Did he think Zach and Slater would be on hand to tell him how uncool carrying a switchblade is?

I’m curious to see how this plays out. Until then, I’ll have to settle for the most likely scenario: Screech wasting away in his county jail cell, thinking he’s receiving a severe talking-to from his high school friends. In reality, his cellmate Bubba eyes his every move.

I despise stupid articles like this, it's obvious that the buffoons at uproxx.com can't disinguish between Dustin Diamond and the character he played on the show. If he was booked under the name 'Screech' then I'll gladly delete my post.

What was the reason why he stabbed that man during a fight?

According to CNN, the arrest was made after he stabbed a guy in a bar fight, (http://us.cnn.com/2014/12/26/showbiz/dustin-diamond-arrest/?hpt=ob_articlefooter&iref=obnetwork) attempting to defend his girlfriend.

I just can't believe it. Screech has a girlfriend?

Dustin was trying to protect his girlfriend from attacks, so he was using the knife as self-defense against that offensive rude man.

Dustin is not the only SBTB alum having problems.

Lark Voorhies and Dennis Haskins are also having their own problems in the meantime.

Dustin was trying to protect his girlfriend from attacks, so he was using the knife as self-defense against that offensive rude man.

According to news reports, he stabbed the guy, then he and his girlfriend fled the scene. Switchblades are illegal in Wisconsin (http://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/941/III/24), where the stabbing occurred. He apparently later claimed that he stabbed the guy with a pen, but the cops found a bloody switchblade on him.

Dustin is not the only SBTB alum having problems.

Lark Voorhies and Dennis Haskins are also having their own problems in the meantime.

I feel quite bad for Lark, who is clearly suffering from mental health issues (have you read the reviews of her books?), and poor Dennis Haskins is struggling with some weight problems.

But even with their problems, they aren't stabbing anyone.

The switchblade is probably a bigger weapon than a pen and stab wound on that other guy might be really small.

If he acted in self defense, I don't see a reason why he had to be arrested even if his weapon of choice was illegal. To me, you should go with what you have...especially if it is all that you have.

God bless you and him and his girlfriend always!!!

If Dustin is found guilty, then we be better be careful about airing another reunion original class in random amount of public because his fans will still be angry to both the original class producers and writers infinitely.

A Brief History Of Dustin Diamond’s Grossly Unlikable Behavior (http://uproxx.com/tv/2015/01/brief-history-dustin-diamond/)

I understand what's happening, but I might predict to go deep on this:

1.) He may have become a pervert right after he was accepted in the difficult original class in a hurry and then turned down badly too quick along the way back then.

2.) He did suffered both mental illness and nerve damage diagnoses after the Wedding In Las Vegas movie.

3.) He entered into the non-difficult New Class to gain respect and relief for better popularity rather than just bringing back all old fans from the difficult original class.

4.) He portrayed the Screech role in a more realistic action in the middle of the New Class series, although it should not be appraised too strongly along the way.

5.) He became a douche after the New Class ended in a rush.

6.) He got fabricated by a ghostwriter, which should be a real prostitute (either male or female).

7.) I agree that it is not right for him to bash the original cast members, but whoever should bashed instead should be both the original class producers and writers.

8.) This should be a good time to help him in low publicity starting right now.

You might think that he portrayed Screech well, but it looks that role, the original class and strict publicity may have made him uncomfortable.

What I am concerned most of the time is the level of difficulty that Dustin is having a hard time approaching on, not the age level.

I agree that Dustin needs help, but he should have gotten help ahead of time.

Dustin may not he be the only having problems, worse or not.

Lark and Dennis do have some problems on their own which takes more time to get it overwith.

Mark and Mario had few problems, unfortunately, they won't be successful in their own family lives, as both Tiffani and Elizabeth.

Cleaning floors in jail got Dustin Diamond one month knocked off his four-month jail sentence. Now he’s free after serving three months for stabbing a man during a bar fight.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3595979/Dustin-Diamond-grants-interview-released-jail-Saved-Bell-star-Mario-Lopez.html

Dustin Diamond has opened up about the 'daunting' reality of life in jail, in his first interview since his release.

The 39-year-old was found guilty of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon following a Wisconsin barroom brawl in late 2014 - spending three months behind bars as a result.

'It's pretty daunting, it's pretty scary going into that environment,' Diamond told his former Saved By The Bell co-star Mario Lopez in a wide-ranging interview on Extra.

But, he added: 'I found that as long as you follow the rules and stay with the system, it works. You can get in and out unscathed.'

Lopez, 42, portrayed AC Slater alongside Diamond's Screech in the ever popular high school comedy.

Reflecting on the incident that led to him being jailed, Diamond revealed that he and his fiancee Amanda Schutz were celebrating Christmas in Port Washington, Wisconsin when he was asked to pose for a photo.

'One of the girl's friends [that Amanda] was talking to sucker-punched my fiancée… she leaned back to me and her face was covered in blood,' Diamond said.

The actor said he needed to protect his wife after a man grabbed her hair.

'I opened my pocket knife and said, ''Let my wife go immediately,'' which worked,' Diamond said.

Diamond also demonstrated how his blade 'nicked' the arm of Casey Smett, 25.

'It was a Band-Aid, the most expensive Band-Aid I've ever bought,' Diamond said.

Diamond was sentenced to four months in Ozaukee County Jail in Wisconsin, but was released after three months for working as a janitor.

Diamond also revealed there was a 'stunt person' in his 2006 sex tape and blamed a ghostwriter for scathing characterizations of his co-stars in his 2009 tell-all Behind The Bell.

'The book didn’t exactly paint a flattering picture of your fellow castmates,' Lopez told him.

'It wasn’t me, I didn’t write this. I was just as shocked and appalled,' Diamond insisted.

Diamond also said he was looking forward to starting a family with his fiancee and returning to stand-up comedy.

The full interview with Diamond will air on Wednesday and Thursday on Extra.

In most cases, when a guy starts his career answering to "Screech," you'd have to assume there's nowhere to go but up. Sadly, this hasn't proven to be the case for Dustin Diamond, who's followed his tenure as the most annoying cast member of Saved by the Bell with a series of low-profile projects and public missteps that run the gamut from embarrassing to downright illegal. Here are a handful of his more infamous moments.

Trouble with the law
Despite his many efforts to maintain a show business career, which you'll read all about in a moment, Diamond is arguably best known these days for his periodic run-ins with the law. He was arrested in December 2014 for allegedly stabbing a man with a switchblade during an altercation in a bar, charges for which he was later found guilty and sentenced to four months in jail. He was released after three months, but ended up back in the hoosegow in May 2016, arrested again pending an investigation into suspected violations of his parole.

Saved by the Bell: The Sequels
After Saved by the Bell went off the air in 1993, the core cast continued with the short-lived Saved by the Bell: The College Years before saying goodbye to the long-running franchise. The exception was Diamond, who reprised his role of Samuel "Screech" Powers for another five seasons on Saved by the Bell: The New Class. In this spinoff, which aired until early 2000, Screech returned as assistant to the long-suffering doofus Principal Belding (Dennis Haskins), older but certainly no wiser when it came to being embroiled in ridiculous mix-ups. By the time The New Class left the air, Diamond had played Screech for a dozen years—good for the bank account, but not much help when it came to typecasting.

Bit parts
As Diamond worked to find his footing in Hollywood after Saved by the Bell had run its course, he booked a series of brief appearances in productions like Longshot, Jane White Is Sick & Twisted, and Big Fat Liar. Like a lot of actors irrevocably tied to a single character, he also ended up using his notoriety as a springboard into appearances as himself, showing up on The Weakest Link, Celebrity Boxing 2, and Hollywood Squares, among many others.

Screeched
It worked for Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, so why shouldn't making a sex tape give Dustin Diamond a career boost? That seems to have been the thinking behind Screeched: Saved by the Smell, a 2006 movie—directed by Diamond—in which he's seen having sex on camera with a pair of women. Needless to say, it didn't have the desired impact. And years later, he claimed he wasn't even in the sex scenes—as Diamond told Oprah Winfrey, he used a "stunt double" in his stead.

Stand-up comedy
Between film and TV projects, Diamond pursued a career as a stand-up comic—a life that, as any comedian will tell you, can take its toll on even the funniest among us. Finding it difficult to land plum bookings in major clubs, Diamond has occasionally turned to less reputable work in order to increase his profile (his Screeched sex tape was reportedly produced in the hopes of increasing demand for his appearances). And although those schemes have generally ended in Screech-like failure, he's remained on the comedy circuit for decades. Say what you will, but that's impressive.

Reality TV
Although Diamond found it difficult to parlay Saved by the Bell into consistent film work, he remained in demand on television. Well—reality television, anyway. In addition to his aforementioned appearances on The Weakest Link, Celebrity Boxing 2, and Hollywood Squares, Diamond stayed busy with Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Fit Club, the latter of which devolved into an argument that ended with Diamond challenging the host, the comedian known as Ant, to physical combat. As he had with the sex tape, he later claimed the whole thing was staged.

Wrestling
In a career checkered with odd projects, Diamond's involvement with Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling might be one of the oddest. Broadcast for a single season in 2008, this CMT series found Hogan presiding over a series of contenders whose ranks included Frank Stallone, Diff'rent Strokes actor Todd Bridges, singer Tiffany, and basketball legend Dennis Rodman—who ultimately claimed the championship after defeating Diamond's team in the final week.

Author
In 2009, Diamond published Behind the Bell, a tell-all tome purporting to offer an inside look at his exploits behind the scenes of Saved by the Bell and beyond. Naturally, his former castmates weren't thrilled to find themselves on the receiving end of a book claiming to detail the "sex, drugs, and wild parties" that Diamond described, and no one stepped forward to corroborate his accounts. Years later, Diamond said the entire thing was the work of an unscrupulous ghostwriter, claiming he had no idea what was even in the book until it was finished.

Insane Clown Posse
While he may not have found many opportunities for leading roles in Hollywood, Diamond has a home with the ICP. The hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse tapped Diamond to man a stage at their fan festival, the Gathering of the Juggalos, in 2011—making him part of a lineup that also included Charlie Sheen and Flavor Flav. Not the most illustrious company, perhaps, but it still probably beats dealing with hecklers at a comedy club on a Wednesday night.

Musician
Mugging for the camera isn't Diamond's only creative outlet. He's also a musician, as he showed fans when he strapped on the bass to start his band, Salty the Pocketknife. "I've been involved with music for about 22 years, I just never pushed it. I started learning classical guitar from my dad, and moved to electric guitar. In 1994 I picked up the bass and never turned back. Music has always been there," he told Chaos Control after the release of the group's album in 2004. Unfortunately for Diamond, the band split up shortly thereafter.

From Screech to Screeched, trouble seems to keep finding Dustin Diamond, but if the past is any indication, he'll find a way to persevere.

They should have mentioned the future of Dustin's Screech role in the new class series finale that Screech transferred to a brand new public co-ed high school (which less difficult than both Bayside and Valley) and becomes a new faculty manager to all different types of helpless students involved. It should have been the only way for 1.) Dustin to not end up lured into prostitution 2) give Bayside peace of mind correctly in a nonharshable way and 3.) the original class will not become underrated outside of America, besides inside America at the same time, IMO.
