What are everyones thoughts on the series finale? What could they have done better, etc?

Well having seen it when it originally aired back in 1989, I still say that was one heartbreaking episode. I STILL got all teary eyed as Alex walked out the kitchen door with tears in his eyes and then comes back in and says "I love you guys". Breaks my heart everytime.

I love the scenes with him and Elyse. I really thought they both did excellent jobs showing their emotion. I loved the scene with him and Mallory too. One thing I didn't like? NO GOODBYE SCENE WITH ANDY! Hello! Did he not love Andy to death? They had such a special relationship all throughout the show and the day he leaves we get no special talk between the two. It made no sense. Other than that it was pretty well done. I remember thinking at the time that it was the end of an era. The 80s were almost gone and Alex P. Keaton left the building. It was quite moving.

Now back to the early episodes...can't wait! :D

I think they could have done better. I wasn't too impressed. I think all that stuff with the tooth and all was a bit weird... I think with a few changes it would have been OK though.
