For those who have the full-series release of the original 1965-70 NBC/CBS Get Smart: do/did you think that the packaging of the same was somewhat complicated, or did you think it was easy to open and close?

I have the complete series and the packaging with the gray box, elevator type package is great. I like it. Holds all the seasons well and it's funny and imitates the original opening of the show.

The whole telephone box theme was well done but I must admit it was a bit fiddly accessing the DVD's.

I've heard that the overall theme of the box (the telephone booth, and the gates that Max goes through to get to it) was well done, and I agree, but what specifically do you mean by it being "fiddly" to get the discs out?

The packaging could certainly be better. I didn't like the grey box, the five season sets fit too tight inside the box, so I threw the box away. As for the discs, they overlap, to get disc 2 you first have to remove disc 1, to get disc 4 you first have to remove disc 3. That isn't any good either. But they did a nice job putting the episodes on DVD, video and audio quality is good.

Pretty much what retroTVfan4ever said and the slip cases were really tight and I was always worrying i'd damage them. I ended up buying a couple of 10 disc DVD cases for ease of access.
