I wonder if Dustin Diamond suffered and was diagnosed with both a mental illness and a nerve damage after the Saved By The Bell: Wedding At Las Vegas movie and before he entered the Saved By The Bell: The New Class Season 2?

Did he have an accident of some sort during that time?

I read in one of the teen magazines 20 years ago, that Dustin wanted to quit playing the nerd role, even if he portrays it or not, that it did him no good for these reasons:

1.) It did not make him equally popular as the other original class castmembers.

2.) It receive too much bad public reviews.

3.) It cause him to suffer with too much mental illness and nerve damage.

4.) He was accepted into difficult original class in a hurry in order to make it well-entertaining, but unfortunately it was considered too dangerous.

Dustin wanted to play a better role than a nerd, but it was to much trouble.

So that's the reason why he was accepted in the second season of the New Class series, not only to bring back some old fans of the original class, but to gain relief and popularity from all new class castmembers, in order to receive better respect to feel more relieved. I don't care if he annoys Belding or not at the same time.

IMO, I think it was too dangerous to accept both Dustin and his nerd role into that difficult original class in a hurry. Age level is not a concern, it is too much difficult appraisal that we should be mostly concerned instead. That's the reason the original class is losing too much popularity right now.
