Hello Out There From TV Land,

I saw a post on Google Groups Nick at Nite Message Archive that on April 7, 1996 at 3 A.M. ET/PT Nick at Nite replaced reruns of "Welcome Back, Kotter" with "The Addams Family" before "The Addams Family" reruns moved to TV Land.

Here's the quote:

"You can add the Addams Family to the list of shows. A couple of
nights ago at 3am, or should I say a couple of mornings ago,
Nickelodeon replaced Welcome Back Kotter with the Addams Family.
There was a host or two pitching the new network. They told you to
call you cable companys etc.
" I want to be where I'm not."

I'm not in position to say if this is 100% accurate or not, but if this is true, and in fact DID happen that night, feel free to respond here. Thanks.

I don't remember THE ADDAMS FAMILY ever being on Nick at Nite. I remember in the 90s it was on TBS.

I seem to recall Nick at Nite aired The Addams Family as well as a couple other shows to promote TV Land. I remember because I didn't get TV Land right away and so it was nice to see some of their shows anyways.

And then at some point NAN aired a marathon of The Munsters Vs. The Addams Family where viewers called a number to vote for which one was better. The Munsters won.
