View Full Version : Saturday Night Live 12/13/14 - Martin Freeman and Charlie XCX robyrob 12-14-2014, 11:53 AM what did you think of this episode? robyrob 12-14-2014, 06:20 PM mu thoughts: Cold Open: I'm not a big fan of the political sketches but I do understand their presence, and this one had some funny lines especially at the expense of Time Warner. Monologue: I like Martin Freeman, he was awesome in Sherlock and Fargo and he did a passable job here, just a bit of dry British wit. Sump’n Claus: I love Keenan, he makes me giggle - but this went on too long. Wedding: this was a great sketch, especially Leslie Jones and Kate MacKinnon. The Office - Middle Earth: weird sketch, I didn't really get it, probably for the same reason I didn't really enjoy the Office. Right Side Of The Bed: this was weird but I liked Taran Killiam and Cecily Strong in it. Christmas Mass Spectacular: a little long and predictable. Weekend Update: Sasheer Zamata was good, Michael Che had a good night, I don't know why they keep doing Vanessa Bayer's Barmitzvah kid - its the same joke over and over again - let her do a new character/bit or at least do something different with the character. (I think they should have retired the character when Seth left). Heinz Assembly Line: goofy, somewhat funny. Pine River Lodge: Keenan was funny, the rest of the sketch was short and weird. Waterbed Warehouse: Aidy Bryant is always funny, but her characters are a little predictable. overall not a bad show. Mace Dolex 12-14-2014, 06:27 PM Heinz Assembly Line: goofy, somewhat funny. IMO this was the only skit that made me laugh, nowaday I just leave on SNL as background noise. |
