Just wonder how many people either like/dislike/don't know about NBC's new espionage drama: State Of Affairs.

oh wow - I thought you were referring to the current state of affairs at NBC and the complete disaster of a season they have put together.

...although I do like Bad Judge, Mysteries of Laura, and of course SNL.

It is a stupid imitator of Madam Secretary.

I thought that at first; but Madam Secretary is actually a Secretary of State and kind of a drama that is politically based.

State Of Affairs is about a CIA Analyst that was going to marry the lady President's son and he got killed while doing charity work in Afghanistan while she was with him. That relationship setup up; provides direct access to the lady President and she does the daily CIA briefing in the White House. In real life; the CIA Director does this task for the President; not an analyst. She has a couple of lovers before this that is in the agency and she goes on a secret mission or two, takes control over tactical stuff, etc... She appeals to have no field training. She not even an Assistant Director of Operations but has wide powers to do stuff anyways. She even seem to have a team that she orders around and is kind of un managed and the CIA Director ask her opinions on stuff and what he should do, etc... Not only that; but the President calls her seemly on a hourly bases to see what she is up to. This is from watching two episodes of the show.
