I am no doubt in the minority, but I preferred the Ricardos' first apartment to the second. The first one seemed cozier somehow, at least in the living room area anyway. Of course their bedroom had a window in the first apartment, but none in their second, which made their bedroom seem cozier in the second one.

Fred & Ethel's apartment was rather cozy too I thought, although the window in their living room I didn't much care for.

I liked the first apt better too! Somehow it was cuter and more cozy without the big window in the living room. I liked the kitchen in the first apt too that had a counter where they ate rather than a table :)

They always were insinuating that Fred and Ethel's was a dump to keep up with Fred's cheap image I guess. Like he didn't want to spend any money for any new updates or even new furniture! :D I didn't think their place was that bad! ;)

I also liked the first one better. I wish they could have stayed there longer. It just had a more homey feeling to it. But to me, the kitchens seemed almost identical.

I shared with my wife the fact that I had two replies.

I mention this because my wife's name is Bonnie. Furthermore, her older sister's nickname is "Cookie". So imagine my amusement when the 2 who replied to this post were named Bonnie and Cookie :)

I like the first apartment better, too. It had more of a personality and it was the original apartment...original is always better.

Very cool! :) ;)

The first kitchen didn't have a kitchen table, they ate at the counter . It was along the right hand side of the room as you walked in the kitchen, they faced the audience/camera when they ate there. Seemed like it was Ricky drinking coffee reading the paper a lot! :)

Oh here we go, I found a picture! :)

One of my ALL-TIME favorite kitchen scenes is from "Pioneer Women" with that HUGE loaf of bread popping out of the oven! That was so ridiculous it was beyond funny.
