Yes…the picture quality is outstanding…pristine…just awesome….

A lot of favorite episodes

This blu ray is far beyond better than the Lucy Blu Ray travesty….the I Love Lucy was in NO WAY Blu Ray….it was a waste of money.

I'm hoping to pick up the blu ray set if I get a tax refund.

That may be what I try and do too if I get a decent refund. There's no way I can afford it now with "The Jeffersons" and "The Facts of Life" both coming soon...those 2 shows are a MUST for my collection. It's taken "Batman" FOREVER to come out so waiting a few more months isn't going to hurt me any. Besides, I want to wait and see if the normal Blu-ray set goes down in price...right now it's more expensive than the exclusive limited edition. I think they're trying to sell all of the exclusive editions before the price of the other one goes down...or at least I hope that's what they're doing.

I probably wont be able to get this until my tax refund comes.

I'll stay with the bootleg set I have. 120 episodes on 20 DVD's. Episodes are complete, video and audio quality is not perfect, but very good. Overall I'm satisfied with it. For me, I see no reason to purchase the studio release. Include the fact that edits have been reported on some episodes, and now the studio is offering replacement discs? Why didn't they do it right the first time?? LOL. All the more reason to avoid the studio release.

It's one episode that had 30 seconds or so edited out and the rest are the next week villains little promos on some of the episodes…big deal..not a biggie to many just to some….

It doesn't matter how many or how few, fact is there are edits on the DVD's. With the long length of time fans have been waiting for the series to be released, it should have been done right and perfect the first time. Maybe the studio did a rush job on it because they were eager to start cashing in on the sales. The only way I will buy the studio release is if the discs I currently have start going bad and have playback problems. Hopefully that will not happen.

Regarding the next weeks villian tags missing at the end of some episodes, yes it is a big deal, they are part of the episodes and should have been included. Issuing a separate "replacement disc" to include the missing tags doesn't fix the problem. As I said before, this should have been done right the first time, there's no excuse for any edits.

It doesn't bother me and I am a big fan of the show. All in all there was just one scene edited out. I already requested the replacement disk but still I am enjoying my set.

How did you go about doing the replacement discs? Do you have to send back the other discs?

Reason I'm asking is because I'm going to order the limited edition Blu-ray set next week and I wanted to know what to do.

Should I go ahead and request the news discs or do I need to wait til I get my Blu-Ray set?

So I'm wondering, are the episodes now being shown on IFC the remastered ones?

Thanks, I would like to have the official release but if any of the next week's villain promos are missing then I'll skip it unless any future production includes those scenes. As long as people have been waiting for this release and with all the hype and promoting it, there's absolutely no excuse for anything to be left out.

TVshowsondvd website had a link to request the replacement discs. You fill out a standard form with your name and email address and they will contact you. As far as I know nobody who asked for replacement discs has been contacted yet. I hear that they will ask for the numbers on the back of the set to make sure you really bought the set and then they will email you the replacement discs.

Like I said for me it doesn't bother me that the next week tags of the villains aren't include. I believe they are just still pictures. As for scenes missing it a 20 to 30 second scene in Season 2 I believe.

I mean the picture quality is just wow IMO. So I am not complaining that much about the other stuff…lol

I was just wondering if they were still doing the disc replacement process like they did for season 4 of "Family Matters".

When I did that I contacted them via email and they sent an address label to me to mail them the edited set and then they sent me a new set.

Exactly. For me, the bootleg set I have is acceptable. Episodes are complete, audio is clear, video quality is very good, some minor pixellation on occasion. If the studio release was perfect in every way, I would buy it. But now, I won't buy it unless the discs I currently have go bad.

Well, I for one am looking forward to finally owing the series and on Blu-Ray to boot. I don't really mind having to get replacement discs . At least they are fixing the problem, somewhat.

Hopefully I will be able to order the limited set next week when I get paid.

This will make the 5th time I've had to get replacement discs:
Pinocchio (Blu-Ray)
The Little Mermaid (Blu-Ray)
Family Matters (entire season 4 DVD)
The Carol Burnett Show (ultimate collection-Time Life automatically sent the new disc)

The episodes on blu-ray have never looked this good. They did a great job restoring the video, color correction, etc.

My only gripe is that there's no surround sound, but the mono soundtrack does sound good and, let's face it, it's the way we all heard it growing up on our '70s TVs!

I got my Batman Blu-ray today (along with "The Jeffersons" set) in the mail!! I got #23,629 of 95,000.

I think I'm going to try and just watch 2 episodes a week so I can stretch it out and so I don't burn myself out on the show.

Now, I guess I'll just sit back and wait until WB contacts me about the replacements discs.

I won't get home from work until 7:30 tonight. I'll watch 2 episodes of each show then and post about the quality tomorrow morning or so.

First of all I just want to say that I still can't believe that this show made it to DVD and especially Blu-Ray. Big shout out to the powers that be that made this finally happen.

So far I've watched episodes 1 & 2 of season 1 and I have to say that all my expectations have been met. The picture quality can't be beat. Simply put, it's perfect! I'm in shock and blown away at how colorful and new this show looks after all these years. WB really did an excellent job of remastering this for Blu-Ray (which is the version I own).

My only gripe is the volume difference between episodes 1 & 2. I had to turn my TV up really loud to hear episode 1 and then turn it down way low because episode 2 was way too loud. I hope the entire series isn't like this.

I can't wait to watch more episodes!

Btw, I never noticed until now just how adorable Robin was in his little tights. ;)

Yes the sound is disappointing. I wish they had gone with surround sound…lol.

As for Robin…ummm…he was always adorable you just didn't notice..lol…I was Robin for Halloween instead of Batman when I was younger…LOL

I'm taking a break from watching my "Batman" set. Too much of a good thing all at once can cause you to get tired of it so I've decided to retire from the Batcave for awhile.

Anyone else enjoying their set or taking a break from it for awhile?

I powered straight through it in about a month's time. Really enjoyed it. They did a great job restoring the film and the episodes have never looked this good. I got the blu-ray.

I want to purchase the season one dvd set from amazon, for about $30. I can't afford the complete boxset, and I've always heard that the first season is the best anyway. Anyone else only buy season one dvd's instead of the whole thing?
