Another part of Britain's heritage has slipped away today,with the death of best-selling authoress Phyllis Dorothy James,better known as P.D. James,who has died at her home in Oxford aged 94. Her books revolved around a whodunnit format akin to Agatha Christie or Ngaio Marsh,with an emphasis in James' work on forensics,gleaned from her time working at the Home Office.
