I don't understand the audience laughing during when Archie was telling mike about his father breaking his hand throwing him in the closet soppose be a serious moment audience got few laughs in wierd

im talking about episode Two's a crowd when Archie and mike are locked in storage room at the bar.very good funny episode by the way

The audience sometime laughed at weird times.

I watched this episode on YouTube last night, and it made me wonder....

After Mike and Archie got out, what would Mike have told Gloria? It's probably not something Archie would have wanted repeated (about the abuse), but Mike probably would have said that he understood Archie a little better (though it didn't stop them from arguing bitterly in the Stivics Go West episodes).

I remember Archie telling Meathead about Edith s father. He told longer stories than Edith. It was worse because he told them with bad breath. In the Season 3 episode Lionel Steps Out Mike and Gloria ask Edith about when she was dating a guy-boy what were the criteria that had to be approved. The boy had to be kind thoughtful and a gentleman. Mike asked how di Archie pass through that? Edith then replies Daddy died a year before I met Archie. How would Archie know he told long stories with bad breath? Archie was drunk but his memory could not be that bad.
