I was just looking at his Internet Movie Database Entry (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Tari,+Le) and it says he died on April 4, 1987 in Los Angeles. I don't remember that information being listed the last time I checked. Does anyone know if it is true? He would have been only 40 (almost 41).

it has been there for as long as i can remember. i dont remember it saying how he died though and being that im friends with shavar ross, i can ask him to get it all cleared up... by they way is his name french?

I asked Shavar after I wrote this, he said he believed it was drug related. Very sad news to hear.

Yea he did look like a big drug user.. looked like he had a hard time standing in a few scenes

I remember reading that about him and being surprised he died so young, I thought he was really good in his role.

Another DS cast member who died years ago I saw was Antony Tompkins who played one of Willis' friends from Harlem, Vernon. He would have been really young when he died too.

Anthony Thompkins is not dead, in fact he was interviewed on the E! True Hollywood Story on Diff'rent Strokes a few years ago - I don't know if you've seen that. Plus they (the Internet Movie Database) list him in a 1989 episode of 21 Jump Street and having died in 1988.

They list his birthyear as 1954, there's no way he was that old when he did Diff'rent Strokes. This is obviously a different Anthony Thompkins or someone put in false information.

That information is quite strange...

Yeah, I just had a look and if you go to Diff'rent Strokes and click on the actor it names Vernon played by someone called Antony Thomkins with a "h" in, so the site has made a mistake. I didn't see the 1954 DOB before, they've clearly got 2 different people totaly mixed up.

That's sad.
