It's sad what's become of Atlantic City in recent years. I went there this summer and it was pretty much dead... the boardwalk and restaurants weren't full, you didn't have crowds of people to go through at the casinos... it's not the same.

I think the combo. of the bad economy and the casinos in Pennsylvania and New York is what did Atlanitc City in. Atlantic City isn't the only one in town anymore.





Four hotels saw their demise in 2014:

Atlantic Club (former Hilton)
Showboat
Revel
Trump Plaza

I wonder if they'll sic CDI on them and make some ceremony during their demolition the way they've done in 'Vegas since '93. :D

The problem with the casinos in PA and NY is that most are Indian Gaming casinos that rarely pay out any winnings. I go to a casino with the idea of winning sometimes.

I went to 3 different Indian gaming casinos and played the games, but won nothing. I was so frustrated that I never went back. I went to Vegas and I did manage to win a little. Never been to Atlantic city, but I am a fan of Las Vegas now, which is also starting to look like a big amusement park. BTW, is Donald Trump going broke?

Trump has been "in name only" down in Atlantic City in recent years. He doesn't own the hotels anymore and he actually sued to try to get his name off of his former resorts... Trump Plaza, Trump Taj Mahal.

I believe he owns shares in stocks down there, but he's not big in Atlantic City anymore.

Atlantic City may be in shambles...again!

What can save the city?
