It's sad what's become of Atlantic City in recent years. I went there this summer and it was pretty much dead... the boardwalk and restaurants weren't full, you didn't have crowds of people to go through at the casinos... it's not the same.
I think the combo. of the bad economy and the casinos in Pennsylvania and New York is what did Atlanitc City in. Atlantic City isn't the only one in town anymore.
Four hotels saw their demise in 2014:
Atlantic Club (former Hilton)
Showboat
Revel
Trump Plaza
