With the Lost Episodes in their current form (the form that appears on the DVD Box set), would the Lost Episodes look better on HD or worse? They say that HD makes everything look better but with the grainy condition that the lost episodes are in, I would think that the episodes may look worse (the imperfections would look more noticable). What does everyone think?

Playing a DVD in a Blu-ray player will upscale the image from my understanding, but considering the source material, any improvements would hardly be noticeable. I don't think a kinescope could ever truly be presented in HD in the first place, even if it went through the same type of restoration as the Classic 39.

I would imagine some improvement since the source material was on film, even if it was 16mm (as is my understanding). However I can't see HD adding too much considering how the shows were filmed off a monitor. I would think the best process to improve the shows would be to use the Live Feed process. From that then maybe HD but being kinescopes it could be pretty iffy.

Bill is right, the up conversions look good and give a nice presentation watched through my bluray and HDTV.
