TNT Cancels "Perception" after Three Seasons
Nov 13, 2014
by Kate Stanhope

The future is not looking good for "Perception". TNT has canceled the Eric McCormack-headlined drama after three seasons, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

"Perception" starred the "Will & Grace" alum as a schizophrenic neuropsychiatrist who assists the FBI on some of their most complex cases. The cast also included Rachel Leigh Cook, Kelly Rowan and Scott Wolf.

McCormack announced the news Thursday on Twitter:

"A sad day: Daniel Pierce will lecture no more. Thank you #Perception fans, and our great crew, for 3 amazing seasons. Shoulda been more..."

The series wrapped the first half of its third season in August to 2.57 million viewers and 0.5 rating in the adults 18-49 demo. The remaining five episodes of Season 3 are expected to air early next year.

"Perception" is just the latest long-running TNT series to get the ax. The cable network canceled "Dallas" in October after three seasons and announced earlier this week that "Franklin & Bash" would not return after four seasons.
