Has anyone bought the complete series that mill creek released? I was looking at in on amazon for 24.99 and want to know if the set is any good. What is your option of the set? Why is it so cheap when other shows complete series go for 70 to 100 or more dollars?

The reason the complete series set is so cheap is because it's released by Mill Creek, who are a company notorious for releasing movies and TV shows for cheap prices. I bought the set last year and it is pretty good. The set comes in a regular (although huge) black DVD keepcase. Inside, the discs come in black paper sleeves, all stacked on top of each other. This packaging isn't very good, but it's how the cost is kept down. There are twenty-seven discs, three per season. Be careful when taking a disc out of its sleeve as it can scratch or scuff. The DVDs themselves are in okay quality. There are 5-9 episodes per disc and there are bonus features included, commentary by Roseanne and Michael Fishman (DJ), and interviews with them and other cast members, such as John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie) and Lecy Goranson (the original Becky). There is no episode guide, but the episode titles are printed on the discs themselves. All episodes from the first seven seasons are completely uncut, however, many episodes from seasons eight and nine suffer from missing tag scenes (scenes shown at the end of the episode during the closing credits) and music substitutions (luckily the show's theme song is kept intact). The video quality is good, but could be better. A few early episodes are kind of blurry, but from mid-season one on, the video quality is pretty good. However, the last two seasons' episodes are kind of blurry and a little too bright. The episodes are kind of compressed due to there being 9 episodes crammed onto the majority of the discs. The menus are really nice, as well. All in all, it's a really good set. You get every single episode for a really good price. The quality is pretty good (though it could be better) and if you're a fan of the show (whether casual or major) I recommend buying it as it's not expensive.
