What happened to the aspect ratio? I'm recording them to DVDR from my DVR and just noticed that as of early October they started putting the show in fake widescreen. What the hell.

I noticed that too during the 25th anniversary on Katie and Candice Bergen's Jimmy Fallon visit, the clips they showed were in that format. To me the video didn't look pushed in. I wondered if they didn't up convert from the original negative? But if they won't even put out seasons 2+ DVDs, why would they would go to that expense? I'm interested to find out.
