Was her case on Unsolved Mysteries? Carrie Lawson was abducted at gunpoint more than 2 decades ago and has not been seen since. Carrie, 25, was a young wife and recent graduate of University of Alabama law school. On September 11th, 1991, she and her husband received a call telling them that Carrie's father was in the hospital in critical condition. As Carrie and her husband went out the front door, they were attacked by a masked gunman. The kidnapper drove off with Carrie and a $300,000.00 ransom was paid for her safe return, but Carrie vanished. Two suspects, Jerry Bland (now deceased) and Karen McPherson are said to be possibly involved in this.


So are there any thoughts on what might have happened to her?

This case was never on UM, but I do recall reading about it on Charley Project. I think she was likely murdered by the suspects and their story about her running out into the woods is bull. It's likely that she was killed so she couldn't identify the abductors.
