Aaron Sorkin: "I'm Done with TV after 'The Newsroom'"

Aaron Sorkin has had his fill of writing for television.
"The West Wing" creator, whose series "The Newsroom" begins its third and final season Sunday on HBO, told the Los Angeles Times that he doesn't expect to work on another show after this one.
In May, just before penning the series' final episodes, he talked about being ready to move on from the medium.
"I know the whole 'Never say never' stuff," said Sorkin, who won the Oscar for scripting The Social Network and has also written for the stage. "But I'm pretty certain I'm about to write my last three episodes of television."
When asked whether he was really done with TV for good, he said, "Yeah," before clarifying: "I've loved every minute I've spent in television. And I've had much more failure, as traditionally measured, than success in television. I've done four shows, and only one of them was The West Wing."
Sorkin told the Times that he was unsure after "The Newsroom's" second season of whether it should return for a third. Once he had decided on a storyline for the new season, he asked HBO to make it the show's final run.
Sorkin, whose Steve Jobs film recently lost Christian Bale as its lead, has also created ABC's "Sports Night", which lasted two seasons, and NBC's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip", which got the hook after one season.
