Back in 2004, Image released the complete series in two box sets. At the time, it was said that there would be a bare-bones release and then at some later point they would release one with bonus features. At first I didn't know if I should wait for the bonus features edition but I was too impatient (I still lived with my parents then, so I had more money to waste, lol). I bought the bare-bones sets with full intention of getting the special editions when they came out.

It is now TEN YEARS LATER, and we finally get the bonus features editions. However, it's a different company, Shout, that's releasing them.

Just something I thought I'd mention. ;)

The Blu-ray set is well worth the price. I'm a huge fan of Pee-wee mainly because he was a big part of my childhood as were Steve Urkel, ALF, and Mister Rogers.

The bonus features included are awesome! I was and still am in awe of the care and love put into making this set. I'm about to finish off season 1 and begin on season 2---the picture quality is pristine.

If anyone is think about upgrading their DVD set to Blu-ray...don't think anymore...JUST DO IT!

I can't agree more. I ended up sending my older box sets and Christmas special to my sister so she can introduce them to my nieces! :)

I'm blown away by the quality, and can't wait to check out all the bonus features!
