Do you remember 'The Raccoons'? "This is the Evergreen Forest, quiet, peaceful, serene - that is, untill Bert Raccoon wakes up...." I'd forgotten all about 'The Raccoons' and I dunno why, but I suddenly just remembered it the other other day. That brought back so many memories of getting up early on Saturday mornings when I was a kid, to watch 'Raccoons' before 'Going Live' came on! No shows really define my childhood. There is one movie that does define my childhood, though and that is the 1962 film To Kill A Mockingbird. I witnessed an injustice when I was in seventh grade. There was this nice kid and about six guys all lied to the math teacher about things he didn't do and he was eventually transferred to a different school. And, about three of the guys who were being jerks and were lying had been really nice guys in previous grades. I don't think I ever got over it because that situation still bothers me to this day.

Any show from the early eighties would pretty much sum it up for my childhood. Any time I see the Dukes of Hazzard on television now it automatically brings me back to kindergarten, the same goes for Different Strokes. Also when I was young The Wizard of Oz came on once a year.

I can answer that (even tho i'm not sarah). It's Kirby, he's from video games, that particular pic is from Super Smash Bros Melee...right? Cos that moon in the distance is from Zelda...

I was a mid eighty's baby so:

Alf - I remember watching this show with my family, I loved it. But now, when I watch it, I find it even better. Probably because I get more of the jokes.

Full House (who didn't watch this show)

Boy Meets World - I watched this show from start to finish.

Oh my God, this was my all-time favorite cartoon and it is no longer aired and that makes me mad! :mad:

And also, the Wheel of Fortune was a big show of my childhood. I loved spinny things, like the wheel (and fans -- when my parents would take me to Menards, we couldn't leave until I saw the fans! But that's a whole other story...)

When I was a little, little kid, I would imitate the contestant's arm spinning the wheel, follow my arm with my eyes and say "Wheel of Fortchie!" I couldn't say 'fortune' at that age, so I would say 'Fortchie!' :happyface :happyface :happyface

i saw reruns of silver spoons and i loved it..."here we are face to face a couple of silver spoons hoping to find we're 2 of kind...."



but anyone remember the show "the nomes" or something...the small people who had like the cone shaped hats on their heads and the man with his wife would go "nuzzel nuzzel nuzzel" (they were rubbing there noes together)i dunno it was weird

oh! i would like to tell you all that i have a tape of recorded episodes of 'The Wonder Years' from 2000. i was shocked to see how rare the nickatnite logo was shown! they would show the nick at nite logo (in darkblue) on the bottom left hand corner and the television for a few seconds after a commercial. and, the rest of the time, there would be no annoying logo on the screen!

it seems like over the 2 years, all the stations put there logo on bottom right hand corner the whole time a show is being aired. and, just last year, they started putting 'Next' on the left hand corner for a few seconds.

I'd forgotten about 'Chip & Dale' and 'Muppet Babies' too. I also used to watch 'Clarissa Explains it All' but I saw it on BBC1 cos I didn't have Nickelodeon at that point.

I think the big blue cat in the upper right is Mungo.
