I am glad they fixed that. I could only imagine the complaints they would have gotten it this wasn't fixed.

Apparently, this new Jeffersons release from Shout! is packaged similarly to the Barney Miller release, albeit with more discs. The included booklet seems to be the same thickness as the one on the Barney release, which means that the booklet has a tribute to the show, as well as an episode guide (which is what the booklets of the Barney and Bob Newhart releases were like). From looking at the pictures, that's what I'm guessing, albeit I may be incorrect.

I'm so glad that's how they packaged the discs. I was expecting them to do it that way and I'm thankful they did. Also glad to see a booklet included. Some people said they didn't do one for the "WKRP" release. I ordered from amazon so I'll have to wait another month but it's worth it---amazon is cheaper.

I am loving the set! The booklet is very nice and thick for The Jeffersons. WKRP did not have a booklet. It is not a deal breaker for me but glad The Jeffersons did have one. I am starting with Season 7 and onward and then later I will see the first 6 seasons that were already released on dvd. Video Quality is very good btw and so is the audio.

That's exactly what I did with that Bob Newhart release; as I had already seen the first two seasons from the FOX releases, I started with No. 3, and now am within 25 shows of the finish line of Bob Newhart (actually 24 more; two more on No. 5, and then the entirety of No. 6).

When I receive my set, I also plan to start watching with season 7. Hopefully I'll get seasons 7-11 watched before I receive my "The Facts of Life" set.

Even if you're in the UK, you can probably still order from the U.S. site. I'm in the US and I've ordered from the UK, Germany, and Japan sites before. I actually have seen this set on the Japan site, as well as Facts of Life and WKRP, but they seem to be more expensive there.

I'm seriously thinking about canceling my preorder with amazon and ordering from Shout! Factory. I'm so excited about this set! I get paid on the 15th, so I'll wait until then and see if I feel the same way as I do now.

Can u confirm if Louise and George in a bind is uncut by letting us know about the ending. I know that after Louise is untied and George is left in the kitchen, we never see how the apt looks from the robber. Just George. By himself in the kitchen. So just want to know how do we know for sure that ep is uncut. Thanks

For one thing, there is footage at the beginning of the first act not seen in syndication! Secondly, there were additional
Clips shown throughout. If you've seen the syndicated 3 parter multiple times, it should be easy to detect the "new" footage.

I would do it. I paid the same price Amazon had it for with all the deals they had a while back. I also preordered The Facts of Life from Shout to get in December right before Christmas instead of in January.

I did this for Hart to Hart which I should get next week…2 weeks early and Quincy ME which i got a month early too from Shout.

There are a handful of segments on the DVD not included in the syndicated version:

Clips of Florence (not just one)
Tom and Helen knocking outside the door, then reminiscing about the Jeffersons arguements that they were dragged into
Clips of Bentley (not just one)
Clips of Louise jumping to the wrong conclusions

You don't see those phony ending credits after each 30 minute episode.

The ending in syndication is the same as the original version with George still tied up, except we see the original credits in "Jefferson font"

Even the ending credits showing the clips were chopped off. In the syndicated version it ends at "Videotaped at Metromedia Square" with George in a George Washington wig. In the original version, they show "TAT Communications with a pic of George kissing Louise"

Havent gotten to season 9 but Shout factory did the same thing with season 7 or 8…can't recall of AITF. You would have thought they would have not done that again. When the complete series of AITF came out they corrected that season.
