I am a new member to this forum even though I have visited it for years.....

Dana Plato was a personal friend of mine, so I used to follow all of the posts and messages about her on here.....
You can see a never before seen on here photo of Dana along with yours truly...... (Before I became the EVIL ZEBRA!)

OK..... the reason that I'm posting on here today it that I'm putting together a tribute to Dana on my own website for tomorrow......

November 7, 2014 would have been Dana's 50th Birthday!!!!

Instead of remembering the bad things about Dana, I've always focused on that cute young teen that I knew back then..... and I miss her dearly!

Happy 50th Dane..... Until we meet again, we all LOVE and MISS YA!!

It's just hard to believe she'd be 50. Time goes by so fast.

Dana Plato's death was tragic, certainly. But it is good to remember her vibrant spirit and the good aspects of her life. I always enjoyed her work on "Diff'rent Strokes"- still a great, fun sitcom. May God bless and comfort her family in this time of memory of her birth.

She is gone but will never be forgotten. Happy 50th Dana!

Me, too. As with Marv and Sonny, I think men "of a certain age" (ahem) all crushed hard on the cute Dana way back when. It's such a shame her later life was so full of sorrow and pain. She certainly conjures up nice memories for me of a much happier time in the world, though.

So glad to see that Dana is being remembered for the sweet person that she really was.......
much has been written about the DEMONS that took over her body in the later years,
but I choose to and always will remember my friend for the good things that she did in life.....

Many great things that you never read about..... and I was just happy to be a part of her BETTER days......

For anyone who may be interested..... the "EVIL ZEBRA" is real name in the world of Pro Wrestling......
I have been a REF, Promoter, Agent, Manager and just about everything else you can think of in our biz.....
I now just help promote a few of the Ladies of wrestling and support them with our.... sit down,
YES.. we still have one of the few active Yahoo Groups!

Just a DANA PLATO memory for her 50th.......

One of the times that Dana came to Pennsylvania to work with me
on a Benefit Dance-a-thon for MDA.... her trip east was sponsored
by a new Skating Center that was opening in the area, as long as
we made an appearance at their grand opening for an hour and she
signed autographs.....

Well...... I did not know that DANA loved SKATING and she was
really excited to do this...... me on the other hand did NOT lace
up any skates..... but the hour appearance there suddenly became
a three hour tour..... as not only did she sign autographs for the 100's
of people there, she also decided that she wanted to skate with them
for a while... she loved being a kid!

That being said..... she also loved one show that they did on the series
and I have been able to find a copy of that show!!!

Way too many stories out there about her downfall and her tragic death.....
You will never hear that from me.... I knew her and worked with her in her
younger years, when she just wanted to be a normal KID!

In fact...... a few years back, someone contacted me, telling me he wanted to do a book about her life....
I told him that I only had good stories to tell and I starting writing them down with exclusive photo to go with it.....
he decided not to go ahead with the book and moved on to other adventures..... I guess he figured the good stories would not sell.....
and it's too bad..... cause like it or not, Dana did have a great heart!

I liked Dana Plato as well. She was beautiful and talented. I have always wondered would it have been better for Kimberly to have been on the Fact of Life as a regular member or crossover from time to time?
