Season 4 Janet was definitely calm, level-headed and rational. Season 8 Janet was prone to having a wild temper and kicking and screaming.

Just confirms my opinion that Janet evolved from being a straight to a goof over the years.

Actually, I found Season 1-3 Janet to be the calm, level headed demeanor. Starting in season 4 she gradually began to get goofier and goofier.
