George Clooney's character, Everett, in "Oh Brother Where Art Thou?" has an obsession with his coiffure. His chioce brand of pomade is "Dapper Dan". Dapper Dan's logo is "Are You A Dapper Dan Man?" In a country store Everett is attempting to buy an automobile part. The backwoods store clerk (this is 1930's) can't get the automobile part for two weeks. Everett, disgusted about that bad news, asks for a can of Dapper Dan for his hair. The store clerk tells him that he has Fop, which is another brand of hair dressing, and he sets that on the counter. Everett says, indignantly, "I don't want Fop, I want Dapper Dan. I'm a Dapper Dan man!" The clerk tells him that, same as the automobile part, he'll have some Dapper Dan in two weeks.
