My favourite Thanksgiving episode is from "The Beverly Hillbillies" and is called "The Thanksgiving Spirit". It's where the casts of all 3 of Paul Henning's great sitcoms ("The Beverly Hillbillies", "Green Acres", "Petticoat Junction") gather in Hooterville to celebrate Thanksgiving in the Shady Rest Hotel. The episode is also notable for the great cast photo that was taken during filming which I love to show every year:

Here's my proposed Thanksgiving Week evening viewing schedule:

Sunday, November 23. Movie: The Incredible Mr. Limpit

Monday, November 24. Movie: Namu, My Best Friend

Tuesday, November 25. Movie: The Hideaways

Wednesday, November 26. Movie: The Greatest Show on Earth

For the record these four movies used to be a STAPLE on the week leading up to Thanksgiving, even BEFORE I got Cable you could count on the station or network to play these movies. Today, good luck in finding them scheduled somewhere. Lets continue:

Thursday, November 27, :pilgrim: THANKSGIVING! :turkey:
(After the Festivities (Parade, Games and Feast) have ended): Animated Specials The Mouse on the Mayflower and Molly's Pilgrim, followed by the movie Plymouth Adventure

These used to be staples on Thanksgiving Day. 'Mouse & 'Pilgrim were shown between the parade and the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving football game, while 'Adventure was shown during the Evening. Once again good luck finding these scheduled somewhere.

Friday, November 28 The National Day Of
:happyface   INSANITY!:rotflmao::brent After my "Daring Pre-Dawn Raid" (and catch a few zzzs) I'll recreate what Detroit's WXYZ Channel 7 used to do on Black Friday regarding their morning and afternoon movies.

Morning Movie: The Man Called Flintstone

Afternoon Movie: Hey There! It's Yogi Bear!

And a BOATLOAD of Cartoons between them! :D

That Evening I herald the start of my Holiday Season viewing with The Polar Express (on Black Friday, 2005 I bought about 20 movies for a buck each as well as a 53-Inch HDTV, which I bought using my Mother's Credit Card). :omg: One of the movies I got was 'Express. The Set was installed that afternoon and My Mother and the first movie we watched was TPE. It's now a tradition in my family to watch this movie on the evening of Black Friday, "officially" heralding the start of the Holiday Season. :tree:

Saturday, November 29. Movie: Miracle on 34th Street(1973 Version - "Homemade DVD" Thanks ioffer!) :santa2:

Sunday, November 30. Movie The Santa Clause

If anyone here watches certain movies on Thanksgiving Week feel free to post.

I'm Adding two more movies to my list:

Friday, November 21 Lad, A Dog

Saturday, November 22 The Sea Gypsies

It's a shame they hardly ever show movies like these show movies like these anymore.
