Consistency paid off for rookie cop drama Mysteries Of Laura, which this morning became the first NBC fall series to get a full-season order with a pickup of nine additional episodes for a total of 22. Mysteries Of Laura starring Debra Messing is the only new series this season, whose ratings have stayed within .2 of its regular slot premiere and has consistently ranked as the most watched NBC program on Wednesday night. It most recently drew a 1.3 in adults 18-49 (Live+same day) and 8.3 million viewers. In the most current ratings that include Live+7 numbers, the series averages 1.9 in 18-49 and 9.3 million total viewers.

That's good news, I really like this humorous cop drama. Debra Messing & Josh Lucas are really great in it.

I'm glad about it too, I'm really enjoying this show. I think Josh Lucas and Debra Messing have good chemistry together and I like that it has some humorous scenes every week. It's not exactly anything new in a cop/murder drama but I like all of the characters.

I really like this show and I'm super excited it got a full season!
The thing I like most about the show is they don't rely totally on technology to solve the crime...they use good old fashioned common sense and detective work.

Hopefully it'll get picked up for another season. I was hoping when they announced the other shows for renewal, this would be on the list but it wasn't. Maybe we'll get some good news in May.
