Bugs Bunny and Friends has been mentioned in the forum. I also liked the opening/closing themes to Beany and Cecil, Linus the Lionhearted, and especially George of the Jungle. And Roger Ramjet.

Well, I'm partial to the animated series/cartoons that aired when I was a kid, in the late 1980's to early 1990's, so my favorites are the themes from:

Jem and the Holograms
She-Ra: Princess of Power
The Thundercats
Ducktales
He-Man: Masters of the Universe
Gummi Bears

Where do I begin?, I am partial to the classics where they had opening & closings that were sadly chopped in syndication and even don't appear on some DVD's, yet sometimes are bonus features. In no particular order...you asked....LOL....I also love that many of these had official soundtrack LP's.

Sabrina The Teenage Witch (70's)
Archies TV Funhouse
Secret Squirrel
Atom Ant
The Flintstones
The Jetsons
Porky Pig Show (Great closing of characters crying bc show is ending...lol)
Yogi Bear
Huckleberry Hound
Magilla Gorilla
Quick Draw McGraw
The Beatles
The Jackson 5
The Osmond Brothers *Have one episode mint quality/Rare
Pebbles And Bam-Bam Show (First "Struthers" Season, same song/different visuals)
Top Cat
Wait Till Your Father Gets Home
The Saturday Superstar Movie (great theme & experiment)
The Banana Splits
Casper
Will the Real Jerry Lewis Stand Up *Have one episode mint quality/Rare
King Leonardo *Have one episode mint quality/Rare
Batfink *Have one episode mint quality/Rare
Hoppity Hooper *Have 2 episodes mint quality/Rare
Tales Of the Wizard Of Oz *Have all mint quality/Rare
The Alvin Show *Have all episodes mint quality/Nick altered opening
Tennessee Tuxedo *Have 3 episodes mint/original opening song not on DVD

Well that is half of them! LOL

I grew up in the 80's so the obvious choices are these and it's a shame that the themes at times turned out better than the actual cartoon for some of them:

Transformers
G.I.Joe A Real American Hero
He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe
M.A.S.K.
Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors
Silverhawks
Robotech
Thundercats
Inhumanoids
Spiral Zone
Bravestarr
Exo-Squad
Gargoyles
The Centurions
Challenge Of The GoBots
The Super Friends (including all incarnations)
Technoman
Dinosaucers

Jonny Quest.

It's still hard to believe every single sound in that intro was from people playing real instruments.

I barely remembered this one from when I was a real little kid. It wasn't until Youtube that I found it again.

Jonny Quest (1964-65, man did those musicians really had to work overtime composing that theme! lol!)
The Flintstones (both versions)
The Jetsons (especially its 1962-63 version)
Scooby Doo (all themes before 1979, although the one from 1984 was pretty catchy in a way)
Superfriends (all of them, especially the 1977 theme since it had that Jonny Quest-like vibe to it too!)
Josie and the Pussycats
Hong Kong Phooey (one of those shows where I liked the theme song way better than the show itself)
The Snorks (mostly the Season 2 theme! That song kicked azz! The 3rd theme was good too but it plastered over the S1 and S2 themes in syndication and cable reruns and gets old at times)
The Bugs Bunny Show ("This Is It")
G.I. Joe Real American Hero (1983-87)
Transformers 1984-88 (Especially the S2 theme, which IMO is vastly underrated of the G1 Transofrmers theme songs)
Jem and the Holograms
Ducktales
Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears
The Alvin Show (sure the 1983-90 Alvin and the Chipmunks are good, but this original theme song from 1961 was just as catchy and awesome, IMO).
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987-96, mainly the pre late '90s theme)
George of the Jungle
Spider-Man (mainly the 1960s and the Spiderman and His Amazing Friends theme from 1981-84)
Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers
Darkwing Duck
Thundercats
Tale Spin
Animaniacs
Pinky and the Brain
Freakazoid! (Funny theme song and very underrated show!)
Superman: The Animated Series (1990s)
The Centurions
Pokemon (Especially the original 1998-99 theme song)
Teen Titans (No, not the blasphemy that is Teen Titans GO!, but the 2003-06 series' theme. Also one of the few 2000s cartoon themes and shows I loved)
Phineas and Ferb (one of the few 2010s cartoons I liked)
Inspector Gadget
Ren and Stimpy (such a catchy theme song for a '90s cartoon!)
Arthur
South Park (before they hammed it up and remixed it)
King of the Hill
The Simpsons
Hey Arnold
CatDog
Spongebob Squarepants (another show where I like the theme song more than the show itself these days)

I’ll have to agree with board on Jem & the Holograms, Snorks, Inhumanoids, Brave Star and Hong Kong Phooey. Johnny Quest was a terrible show, but a great theme song...sometimes it happens. And while Disney had several above average theme songs, the one that stands out for me is Gummi Bears. None of the other ones fill me with joy and childlike wonder like that one does.

As an 80s kid, I always think of cartoon theme songs as “the big 5”:

Transformers
GI Joe
He-Man
TMNT
Thunder cats

Those shows dominated the 80s. All great shows, all great theme songs. Those taught a whole generation of boys that you do and stand up for what’s right and if things don’t work out, you pick up your sword, or nunchucks, or guns, or what have you and handle your business.

I wasn’t sure if I could post non-cartoon theme songs of kids shows, but I saw somebody else had posted Banana Splits (agreed), so I’m gonna go ahead and add:

Lidsville
HR Puff n Stuff
Zoobilee Zoo
Carmen San Diego (game show)

And now off the board I’m gonna add:

Chowder
Count Duckula
Fairly Odd Parents
Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends
Cat scratch
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Gigantor

And the 2 most rockin’ themes...
