Hi folks!

I'm new to the forum.

"CHiPs" started airing on NBC when I was just about to turn 11 years old, not yet finished with elementary school. I was a casual viewer of the show, enjoying many episodes. I did enjoy "CHiPs '99" as well. I enjoy subscribing to Larry Wilcox's page on Facebook. One of my relatives, no longer living, was a sheriff's deputy in a suburban county near Denver. He was a huge fan of "CHiPs".

I do not have access to MeTV or other "CHiPs" rerun outlets currently. Money is tight in the construction business where I live, and that cuts back on the entertainment budget. I hope to change that situation soon.

I remember the late 1970s and early 1980s well. Seeing "CHiPs" video clips on YouTube is a nostalgia rush; I dig the old Yamaha C-series police specials rode by the characters. I see "CHiPs" as more than just a "police procedural" TV show. It is a time capsule of the disco era, capturing many aspects of those days beautifully.

I have a few questions:

1: Does anyone know if there are any female officers serving on motorcycles in the CHP in real life today, or in the recent past?

2: Is the entire "CHiPs" series available on Hulu Plus? If so, how is the video quality?

3: How far into the series are episodes available on DVD? Is it just the first year?

4: On Facebook, Sue at Larry Wilcox's page told me that there were episodes in the show's fourth and sixth years in which female CHP officers did appear on CHP motorcycles. Does anyone remember the names of these episodes, and of the characters? Are there any images anywhere of these characters?

I'm just curious. Thanks in advance.

Welcome! I hope you enjoy the time you spend here.

I can answer a couple of your questions.

2. Hulu Plus is not streaming CHiPs. You can buy the first two seasons from Amazon Instant Video, Vudu and the iTunes Store.

3. Seasons 1 and 2 are available on DVD.
